The two side-by-side empty lots on Baudin Street were primed and ready for new-construction homes built to meet modern living standards. Albert Architecture designed two unique but complimentary residences that use elements of elevation and height to maximize indoor and outdoor living spaces on their narrow city lots. A small footprint does not have to feel cramped, as demonstrated by the use of over sized windows for a flood of natural light, free-standing fixtures, floating cabinetry, and unconventional layered floor plans to maximize privacy and views. Offset exterior overhangs and balconies create a dynamic façade for the urban streetscape.
