2850 Magazine Street was a long-neglected building that possessed great bones, soaring ceilings, and unique architectural details. The goal of the renovation was to transform the space to take full advantage of the original craftsmanship. The resulting commercial space is a light-filled, bazaar-like antiquities and furniture store. State-of-the-art rolling window walls, exposed beam skylights, and a restored original roof monitor flood the renovated space with clean, natural light, while dark metal accents preserve the warm and rustic atmosphere of the original structure. Winner of a Garden District Association’s Renovator Award, the building is now a recognizable landmark on bustling Magazine Street.
