Albert Architecture worked closely with Logan Killen Interiors on the renovation of an existing 13,750 square foot warehouse space, originally a motor pool for a tour company, into a state of the art distillery. The goal of the renovation was to take advantage of the generous open spaces and high ceilings and transform it into a functioning distillery with back-of-house spirit production, storage and aging rooms, and bottling facilities. Located in the Treme neighborhood, the owners wanted the design to reference the rich history of New Orleans. The inviting public space feature maps of the city, custom built-in natural wood baquettes, and a copper top bar in the tasting room. Visitors can enjoy a tour of the distillation and production area, complete with a history of local spirit production.
