United States Marshal Service Tenant Upfit
This design-build project for the GSA consists of the renovation to the second floor of an existing federal office building in Orlando, Florida. The program for the new space was to create a task force training and coordination facility for the U.S. Marshals, state police, and local police departments to identify, locate, and apprehend fugitives. The Albert Architecture team conducted work sessions with the GSA and U.S. Marshals to design an appropriate secure environment for interviews and training as well as offices, meeting, and exercise spaces. Interior finishes were selected to coordinate with the function of each room, including low-maintenance durable tiles for the locker rooms, resilient rubber flooring for the gym, and dark black floor and wall surfaces for the state of the art virtual reality simulation training room.
