VA Murfreesboro Domiciliary
Albert Architecture designed a new construction 16-bed Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program Center (RRTP) at the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, Alvin C. York Campus located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. RRTP offers personalized treatment plans to help Veterans meet their treatment goals while residing in a structured, supportive, and therapeutic community environment.
The new 9,400 square-foot building was designed to complement the existing 9,200 square foot building. Together, they will provide single-occupancy lodging for up to 34 veterans as well as additional common space for activities, a shared kitchen, dining hall, reception/nurse station, guest lounge, private offices, conference room, recreation room, two covered porches and two 1,000 square foot garden courtyards incorporated within the building envelope. Our design team focused on providing a safe, healing environment with both visual and physical access to nature by including two large courtyards within the building grounds and two patios with views of the nearby lake.
